The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods & Industry manages the complete supply chain flow from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Pharmaceuticals, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. KATOEN NATIE has 181 sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America and the Far East and has more than 18.000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.

Stevedoring services around the world are managed by the Business Unit Port Operations. This allows Katoen Natie to share its know-how and to develop a global strategy. High flexibility and productivity in a safe working environment are our main drivers to perform a variety of services.

As Katoen Natie Port Operations, we are active across a diverse range of business lines, including steel, general and project cargo, dry bulk, ro/ro and container handling.

In the Port of Antwerp, Katoen Natie Port Operations owns and operates two deep-sea terminals on the left bank (berth 1227) and right bank (berth 347)of the river Scheldt, plus one barge terminal at berth 1510 and one on-site terminal at berth 647. Furthermore, our business unit also owns and operates one dedicated container terminal in Terneuzen (Netherlands), one multipurpose terminal in Radicatel (France) and one specialized container terminal in Montevideo (Uruguay).

Katoen Natie offers a global logistics service for polyolefins produced by the petrochemical industry.

Through our worldwide network of logistic platforms for non-hazardous commodity plastics, we provide packaging, storage, distribution and value added services. 

We offer truly global semi-industrial and engineering solutions for solids in powder or granular form as well as for liquids. From the reception and identification of raw materials, to the conditioning, packaging and distribution of end products plus everything in between.

We are the preferred logistic and semi-industrial service partner for leading companies in the food and feed industry. Our focus is on strategic semi-finished product groups such as starch/proteins, dry dairy products, sugar and food & feed dry ingredients.

We offer total solutions for general cargo & commodities, based on integrated logistics and engineering. Katoen Natie has been involved in commodities ever since its foundation in 1854, when it began with storage and handling of raw cotton. Now, Katoen Natie’s business unit General Cargo & Commodities handles a wide range of products at its terminals.
