Be at the forefront of change. Be ambitious. Be with us.

What's more, our working environment and approachable culture set us apart from the crowd. We pride ourselves in providing an inspiring, supportive, and professional environment where quality, innovation and collaboration play a key role.

Whatever your background or ambition, join a firm with the scale and spirit to make it possible.

As a team member in our Brussels office, you'll benefit from:

  • Working in an open, inclusive environment where people genuinely enjoy working together and look forward to meeting up with each other at our weekly get-togethers, the annual ski weekend and more.
  • Our approach to office and home working enables you to find the right balance to deliver at your best.
  • Developing your skills and progress in your career while working alongside our top-tier teams and interacting with our ground-breaking international clients.
  • Enjoying opportunities to travel and connect with colleagues from our global firm’s 31 offices at international retreats and seminars.

We know an inclusive culture, alongside a diverse workforce, makes us more innovative and agile.
Passionate about making the legal profession in Belgium more diverse? So are we. Our office has been engaged in and actively rolled out programmes including the Women in Leadership and Law (WILL) programme, the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance (LDIA) and our Ladies@Bird network.

The shift to a more sustainable way of doing business needs people who embrace change and spark innovation. We’re up for the challenge, are you?
We’re on a journey to reduce our CO2 emissions wherever possible. Most recently, we’ve been focused on green transportation, installing charging points for electric vehicles and investing in electric bikes for our colleagues to run errands.

The ability to help isn't always enough. In today's world, more often than not, what's needed is time. We believe pro bono is time well spent.
In Belgium, every new lawyer must take on pro bono work to become a full-fledged lawyer. You can count on our full support to meet this requirement. From a global perspective, we’re also a pro bono partner for Fedora, the European platform supporting opera and ballet, which counts Belgian institutions La Monnaie/De Munt and Muziektheater Transparant among its members.

We believe in taking an active role in supporting our communities to make a difference.
We’re an outward-looking firm. We're interested in the world, current issues, and emerging trends and we work with great clients doing great things. Things that have a real impact on the way the world does business, and how we all live. So, it's not surprising that we also want to have a positive influence by supporting our local communities.

We work alongside our clients to champion initiatives that make an impact on the community around us. And our people dedicate time through volunteering and fundraising, and partner with charities across the world to truly amplify our impact.

How to Apply
You can apply for our junior associate positions and work experience opportunities throughout the year. For internships, you can send in your application at any time. In your application, please tell us about your academic achievements, why you want to work with us and which practice area interests you most. If you join us, you will be given the chance and all the support you need to develop beyond your own expectations.

The selection process
When you apply for a vacancy, your application will be reviewed by one of the partners. If your application is successful you will be invited for an interview conducted by a partner and our HR manager and complete some tests. This interview is a general interview aimed at getting to know you better. We will of course discuss your legal skills, but we are also interested in your personal interests and opinions. Depending on the size of the team and whether it is a short or longer-term role you will have one or two further interviews when you will be introduced to more members of the practice area.

Following the final interview, we will let you know what our decision is as soon as possible.

We know you’re looking for support to be the best lawyer or business services professional you can be.

We know that having access to world class development throughout your career is vital for that. You expect it – and our clients deserve it because it means as a firm, we can provide a constant focus on professional and personal growth.

That focus helps us ensure we’re at the cutting edge of the sectors and issues that matter to our clients. We have developed an extensive global curriculum so joining our firm means you’ll have access to frequent training and development sessions, along with helpful online resources. Which you will be able to learn alongside your role responsibilities flexibly, and to suit you.

Taking advantage of our extensive and varied programme will help you to broaden and deepen your internal network as you learn alongside your global peers. You will have access to world-class trainers to build your professional skills and know-how. And because you’ll join a global firm, your experience of development will also be global.

Many of our local offices have additional programmes dealing with specific jurisdictional, technical and team-related content to spark your interest. And technical legal and language training is provided locally by our world-class faculty.

We pride ourselves in supporting the progression of all our people. And we want everyone across our firm to feel that as individuals, they can support our firm-wide focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging. And as part of creating a diverse and inclusive culture, we want to enable you to be and develop your true self, which is why you will have access to our global mentoring programme. And why we also have additional programmes to support initiatives such as The Global Women’s Development Programme and Future Leaders.

Of course, formal learning sessions are only part of the picture. You can also expect to have stimulating client work to learn on the job alongside our exceptional people, with informal coaching from experienced and talented line managers built in.
