Job description

As a Business Development professional at the Venturi Tribe, you will play a pivotal role in translating innovative materials and technologies into real-world applications that benefit society.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead in partnership collaborations: take the lead in collaborations with several technology partners and draft the journey to successful market adoption, while also playing part in its execution. Manage progress meetings presenting key learnings, discussing open questions and next steps.
  • Understanding Technology: Develop a deep understanding of the differentiating properties of our technologies and materials.
  • Market Research: Identify applications and industries that can benefit from these properties, understand the market’s decision rationale, and make business cases for opportunities that emerge. Distill insights from analyses and making a structured presentation.
  • Expert Interviews: Conduct interviews with experts in these applications to understand their challenges, needs, and drivers for change.
  • Industry Partnerships: Identify and connect with industry players willing to lead the way in adopting these technologies.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Set up tests and pilot projects to evaluate the technology’s feasibility and effectiveness in real-world applications.
  • Co-development: Collaborate with industry partners to establish co-development trajectories that translate technology into viable and fitting products, while also considering the most suitable business model.
  • Innovation Leadership: Be a driving force in the adoption of cutting-edge materials and technologies that drive sustainability and innovation.

Who are you?

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Material Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in business development in a B2B environment is desired.
  • Proven ability to navigate the buyer’s journey from the fuzzy front-end to a closed sale.
  • Strong analytical skills and proactive outreach to companies and experts.
  • Commitment to respecting agreed-upon decisions and procedures, with a disciplined approach to project execution.
  • Fluent in Dutch, English, and French; German proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including persuasiveness and the ability to compromise.
  • An enthusiastic team player with a passion for innovation and sustainability.
