MTBS combines extensive port expertise with global reach, supporting public and private port partners
On the interface of land and water, positioned between public and private interests, ports are the most strategic nodes in global transport networks. We use our extensive knowledge and love of ports to help public and private port partners all over the world. We know the intersection of water and land like no other. MTBS has a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and is growing worldwide with projects in Latin America, Asia, and most developing regions across the globe. MTBS experts travel frequently, offering local service with global experience.
Noting that we often travel with colleagues, we emphasize and invest in the strong connection between our colleagues. This is captured in our first core principle , “Together we glow”, as we believe the best results are achieved when working together. In addition, as our ambition is to be the best port consultant in the world, our second core principle is “Your trusted partner”. Another core principle which characterises our work culture is, “We create solutions”. As MTBS we are a group of driven professionals, aiming to provide added value to our clients by delivering innovative solutions.
In case you are interested in our company but would like to hear more before applying, you can have an introductory call or request a coffee session in our Antwerp or Rotterdam office with one of our colleagues.
Once you decide to apply and we see a match between your candidacy and our function profile, you will be invited at our office for an interview. This interview consists of 2 parts, a case study, which is based on a real project we performed in the past, and an interview with one of our directors to discuss your motivation and your experience in more detail.
At MTBS, there is a fixed trajectory you will follow from analyst to senior consultant, which is supported by an internal training curriculum and a continuously increasing exposure to clients. In addition, every employee prepares a yearly personal development plan, elaborating on their growth areas and different (internal and/or external) courses which the employee would like to follow. The fixed trajectory is initially focused on gaining knowledge on different subjects and skills, such as financial modelling, master planning and port & terminals but also ‘the way of doing things’ at MTBS about managing projects, reporting and advising. From Consultant and onwards also external trainings on communication, negotiation or extending MTBS knowledge on a certain topic is possible and encouraged. More on the long term you can decided if you want to go into the direction of project management and leading projects and teams or become specialised in a certain area and follow a path to become an expert.
